Flyball - Jimmy

Flyball is a team sport invented in California by Herbert Wagner in the '70s. It's a relay race, with 4 dogs in each team. The dog must jump four hurdles to reach a loaded box wich under his paw's press shoots a tennis ball, he then must grab the ball and jump back to the starting point. As soon as he crosses the starting line the second dog starts and so on. The first team who complete the course without errors wins.Flyball

In Italy we don't have Flyball rules yet, so we follow the NAFA (North American Flyball Association) regulations. Althought there aren't official competitions, Flyball is well represented in Italy by some training Clubs who are very active. In december 1998, a selection of two teams formed by the eight fastest dogs, left to Belgium to represent Italy in the first European appointment in Kontich.
